About this coloring page
The bat’s wings are split into separate panels, which makes this page great for patterns. Try alternating two colors across the wing sections — purple and black, or gray and blue — and keep both wings matching to practice symmetry.
The fuzzy body and ears can be a warm brown or charcoal gray, with pink inside the ears. Keep the eyes white and add a small dark pupil so the bat looks friendly rather than scary. A pale yellow moon behind it would make a nice extra.
Things to talk about
- Bats sleep upside down during the day. Where do you think this one lives?
- Real bats help farmers by eating insects. What other animals come out at night?
- Can you count how many wing panels there are?
Coloring tips for parents & teachers
- Print on regular paper for crayons and colored pencils, or thicker paper for markers.
- Younger kids? Let them color the big shapes first, then add details together.
- Free for home and classroom use — print as many copies as you need.
